The angle is altered on this and the previous image to avoid a newly installed GSM-R mast. Also here is a very annoyingly positioned tree which (with a mirror plant at the opposite side of the bridge) limited the angle onto the new line. Not that it matters now of course, as there are some new catenary masts here which - yes - have to say the least 'altered the vantage point' somewhat...." /></a>

Not long after, Rennie's bridge (from where the shots were taken) was permanently removed. The area would then see the construction of the new Bathgate LMD and station commence as part of the Airdrie - Bathgate project." /></a>

The track is still single at this point, while the bridge in the background has been replaced and the cutting has received attention." /></a>

As elsewhere, the catenary has now arrived here - although perhaps fortunately the masts are on the up side of the line. At the moment the contact wires are not installed, but it may be possible to get a shot of sorts here from a lower level once the wires are live." /></a>
